meeting to order at
7:00 pm

Bruce and others met with Jane
Hague on February 1 at a town meeting. The master plan is being updated with
Houghton and Factoria both being studied. A site selection will be made in
May.
- Bruce
will miss the May annual meeting

Ben
Franklin
School-
The plan has been scaled back and the district is submitting a new
design to be presented in March. We may need to help the district identify
ways to separate bus and car access on the site. Talk to Carter Bagg
(architect for state)??
- Picnic-
Will be discussed at the March meeting.
- Work
Party- Dierdre suggested. Not much discussion.
- Meeting
Agenda- suggested to add all key city and county contacts; state
representative contacts. Send information to Bruce.
- How
to establish a neighborhood position?- Discussion on this topic
was spirited. It was suggested that responses needed within 72 hours should
be solicited by 2/3 of those responding on the board. Bruce will send to Steve Tindall (1) process for
neighborhood position, (2) emergency response process.
To be discussed at next board meeting.
- Tree
Ordinance- Provide names of up to 3 person to the city. Art Yoeman (?)
possible chair. Bruce
to follow-up.
Agenda for March
- Nomination
of New Officers and Directors
A
request for new involvement will be made at the meeting. Current
officers should indicate renewed interest to Bruce. Other nominations
will be taken at the meeting to be considered by a nominating committee (to be
formed).
- Innovative
Housing- Jessica will lead a
discussion of housing trends in the neighborhood in relation to growth
management. Input may be
provided to the city’s current program on innovative housing.
- Traffic
Calming- Provide an update on the
current process.
- 85th
BAT Lane- Ask input to obtain
unified position that supports transit in a meaningful manner.
- City
Process- how neighborhoods interact with the city- Ask city planning staff
or Lynn Stokesbury to present and discuss.
- Ben
Franklin- ask school district to meeting
- Work
Party idea- Dierdre to introduce
