Executive Committee Meeting - Monday, February 12, 2007
President Jeanette Simecek called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.

REPORTS
Treasurer’s Report - Barb Jones reported the NA has $700 in the bank. Jeanette reported that the NA has decided not to buy its own microphone but will continue to borrow the City’s.
Rosetrails Website – Vice President Andy Held is working with former webmaster Bill Anderson on the new website and will be getting Jeanette Front Page in order to post items timelier.
N.E. 60th Sidewalk - Andy has written a letter about the sidewalk project on behalf of the N.A.
HOT LIST – The “Hot List” was introduced at the February General Membership meeting. It was modeled after Moss Bay N.A., highlighting important and timely issues of concern to the neighborhood.
Lighting – The streetlight at 122/60th was destroyed in the storm and has yet to be fixed. The streetlight has been fixed at 120/60th.
Pedestrian Pathway on 122nd between 70th and 75th – A new blacktop shoulder is being installed.
Blackberries at the Landfill - Margaret Schwender contacted Jeanette about the cutting of the blackberries at the dump. She has called the Little League, King County about the destruction of habitat. The NA currently lacks information and is requesting more about habitat.

“Hot List” – Issues facing the Neighborhood
Vice President Andy Held will begin the meeting as President Jeanette has Ham Radio training.
The N.A. Elections will be held at the May meeting. Once again, Roberts Rules will be followed. It has been suggested at the March meeting to go over the ground rules for the election and ask for Nominating Committee members. The Nominating Committee will be responsible for recruiting Board and Officer candidates. This year, Lorraine and Don are up for reelection as well as the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
KAN Update - C.Ray Allshouse. C.Ray, as our N.A. rep, has been attending the KAN meetings which have been held in conjunction with Neighborhood U, KAN’s training for neighborhood association leadership. The meetings include reports from the other neighborhoods. KAN is currently working on their mission statement and exploring a new role working with the neighborhood associations.
May General Membership Meeting – City Manager Dave Ramsay will speak on the State of the City. Also – N.A. elections.
Transportation Commission – The City will be updating the non-motorized plan and will be holding public meetings as part of its community outreach. They will be looking to the Cascade Bicycle Club and other public participation on transportation issues.
Speed Watch Committee - The Committee had been asked to provide a log of hours in March.
Neighborhood Connection Benches – The benches which where purchased by Neighborhood Connections grant money will be installed at 80th by Lake Washington High School, on 70th by Earl’s, and on 70th near Holy Family.
