South Rose Hill/Bridle Trails
Neighborhood Association
Meeting
Minutes – January 09, 2001
7:10 Jessica
Greenway opened the meeting and welcomed all, especially new attendees. All attendees were polled to see how many
did NOT receive the mailing announcing the meeting. Seems like most of Bridle Trails, i.e., the area south of 70th
did not receive the mailing.
For
the good of the order announcements:
Bob (last name?) called for some action to get
mailboxes along 132nd Avenue NE on the proper side of the street;
there is a free workshop on Local Planning on
Saturday Jan 13 from 9:00 to noon, to learn how to work with the Comprehensive
Plan to make any group more successful; sponsored by Bellevue and Sammamish at
Bellevue City Hall.
7:20 Steve
Tindall updated us on the 85th Street Corridor project. He passed out a summary of Fall 200 activity
(attached) and discussed same.
There
were two attendees who are in opposition to the stance the NA has taken on the
Corridor project: Martin Morgan and
Steve Scott. They were each given time
to state their positions. Todd Johnson,
of Lee Johnson Chevrolet was also in attendance and addressed the group. After hearing from these gentlemen, Jessica
called for a vote to see if the group wanted to change the NA position on the
Corridor project.: to support the current position, 30 votes; to oppose the
current position, 4 votes.
8:10 Break
8:20 Steve
Colman presented a study group update
on the I-405 Corridor study. There are
public meetings yet to be scheduled in February and March. Washington DOT would like to be “good to go”
by the end of the summer. A group
consisting of Heidi Schor, Pat and Ray Schlienz, Jessica Greenway, and Martin
Morgan volunteered to do follow-up.
